In 2018, we cycled from London to Paris to raise funds for a world more mobile. It was such a success, we decided to do it again in 2019. This time, we are cycling from Paris to Rotterdam.
Between June 27 and 30, 2019, we will bike from Paris to Rotterdam to raise funds for citizenMovement, and get closer to our goal of funding 2,500 bicycles for our charity partner World Bicycle Relief. When you join, you’ll change the lives of schoolgirls in Zambia by making their world more mobile. But for you, this event could mean even more.
Join us for:
- a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to cycle along celebrity cyclists
- a personal challenge to push the limits of your endurance and reach goals you never thought you could achieve
- a point of pride on your bucket list
- a chance to make new lifelong friends from around the world

We are proud to announce that celebrity cyclists will join citizenMovement’s event and they will cycle along with the participants.
Take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to cycle alongside and receive personal advice from professional celebrity cyclists at every stage of the journey!
This year, the former Dutch professional road racing cyclist Steven Rooks will join us again as a team leader.
In the 1988 Tour de France, Rooks finished second and won a finish on L’Alpe d’Huez. He won the polka dot jersey for the mountains classification and the Présence Classification.
There is a choice of two routes – and one of them is perfect for you!
The main route is for beginners.
The challenging route is for experienced cyclists.
citizenMovement is charitable initiative with a simple goal: to make the world more mobile. It’s a cause that’s embedded in citizenM’s DNA — after all, the ‘M’ in citizenM stands for ‘mobile’.
And citizenM’s original mission — empowering mobile citizens around the
world — gave birth to a new idea. What if we could empower mobile citizens to help others be more mobile, too? By harnessing the collective energy of people who are always on the move, we can change the lives of people for whom mobility is still a luxury they can’t afford.
citizenMovement channels this collective energy into a multitude of causes and projects. Whether it’s helping those who face mobility challenges, improving access to remote amenities in developing nations, or encouraging movement as a vehicle to better health, everything we do helps shorten the distance between people and opportunities. When people are able to mobilise themselves, the possibilities are endless.
All funds raised during the Paris to Rotterdam cycling event will be destined to our charity partner World Bicycle Relief, and our goal for 2019 is to fund 2,500 bicycles for young students in rural Sub-Saharan African communities.
